Good afternoon, dear judges. Today my speech is “I love black-faced spoonbill.

On a beautiful winter day, I happened to meet the lovely spirit------

Black Faced Spoonbill, a type of migratory bird, which spends winter at Hong-Shu-Lin in my city every year. Covered with snow-white feathers, it has black legs and a black beak. Besides the blacks and whites, an amazing splash of yellow is under its neck. So elegant that I couldn’t help loving it at first sight.

With a big and spoon-shaped beak, it can clasp fishes easily, which makes it a powerful hunter in birds.

However, with human expansion and pollution, only around 20xx ones are living all over the world.

Like the eleven swan princes in Andersen’s Fairy Tale, the Black Faced Spoonbills have always been struggling to find a tiny rock which can offer them a momentary tranquility. Fortunately, they have found one in my beloved home. I would always hold them dearly to my heart and wish they would return with flocks of chicks in the following years, and singing……

Oh, I have a home, such a beautiful home, where I play and rest happily.

Oh, give them a home, such a wonderful home, where the spoonbills play all day.

Next,you must communicate clearly.Respond thoughtfully to each question.Respond slowly with total honesty.

Be sincere and direct.Be sure you make eye contact.Try to relax and breathe naturally.

Mind your body language.Stand up straint with good posture.Look attentive but also at ease.

Also,you need a solid background.You should have a stable track record.Have exemplary credentials to back you up.

Present a professional resume.Present all school transcripts.Be prepared to explain everything in detail.

Offer letters of recommendation.Offer letters of reference.List awards of honors youve recieved.

In addition,have a positive attitude.Be confident of your ability.Be optimistic about your future potential.

Be polite and courteous.Be punctual and considerate.Exude enthusiasm and energy all the time.

Today, my topic is "Changing Ourselves".

At first, I'd like to tell you a little story about an insurance salesman in Tokyo. Even though this man tried very hard to promote the insurance, nobody bought it. One day, he came to a small temple and began to brag about his insurance. After listening to his introduction, the monk said: "Your recommendation of insurance can't arouse any of my interests! When you are communicating with others, you must have the charm to attract others, or you will be unpromising in the future. Young man, try to change yourself!"

The salesman thought deeply about each word. From then on, he invited all his friends to point out his weakness and kept on improving himself bit by bit for all his life. Thirty years later, he became a millionaire. And this man is the famous salesperson in the world: Yuan Yi Ping. His experience reflects one attitude: sometimes, we should change ourselves instead of changing the world.

Human beings always scan others, therefore, lots of people just see the flaws of them, then they will blame and criticize the outside factors, some people will even try to change them! Unfortunately, they ignore the importance of the inner factors.

Everybody in the world needs to examine himself critically, everybody has to learn to be tolerant and generous. You won't think the world is splendid unless you change your attitude first.

Dear friends, we'd better remodel ourselves rather than blame each other. If we do so, we'll find that yesterday's sorrow is today's gratification, yesterday's opponent is today's assistant, and yesterday's failure is today's success! Remember: if we can change ourselves, we can change the whole world!
